I should add that chkdsk ran automatically one time rebooting and found orphaned files along the lines of GAMEOVER.something-obviously steam related. ![]() However, when I go to look under steam in my D drive, everything on the D disappears again. Shouldn't they still be there if I simply repaired steam and didn't uninstall? I stop them from downloading, and go to look for a backup of games in steam's options. I notice that none of my games I had installed were coming up as playable in my library as though they weren't. Steam finally comes up with the login information and all seems well. Reboot, and this time I get the steam setup and run the repair. Reboot, everything is back, didn't even try to open steam but apparently it was running in the processes and pops up with a steam stopped working and then everything is gone from the D again. Go to launch steam, and it says something about a registry in use and then everything on the D disappears from the desktop again. Next I boot up, everything on my D drive is missing.īoot up again, everything is back. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. Next thing, I start hearing extremely glitchy sounds and see some weird graphics on the top left of my screen. I think you have a thirdpart crash issue requiremnt or corrupted vc++ files in OS and why you have some game crash from other drivers. ( dont start from inclient but from its folders location ) browse local content. Some examples are: Saints Row series, Assassins Creed series, Just Cause series and more.Ītleast you clear that out, not all games, then goto that game start its own game.exe up and see if that give a crash msg. Maybe these games do not support running from a different drive or something? Turns out not all the games crash, just specific ones - this means the drive should be working fine.
